storytelling
[stawr-ee-tel-ing, stohr-]

noun
Storytelling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world today. —Robert McKee

Stories are one of the oldest art forms of entertainment and communication for conveying culture, values and identity. In other words, Stories have power. Its this unique quality and understanding which gives art true importance and values. The picture can tell a thousand words but an environment can speak a million. Virtual reality and storytelling are bridging a nexus for new innovative entertainment and art, it co-exists as a part of my daily life and my goals. I have been challenged by this new media and find purpose in my projects through the power of creativity. I believe this is the future, which is here to stay and a tool with the potential to involve people from all walks of life, by using art, stories and virtual reality. This is make-believe. To make change.

So after working through a hard day of make-believe, I like to relax and kick back with my creations and ask myself, how can I tell a good story?

My name is Alex Haining and Im a VR environment and interactive design artist.
